This is one of my favorite cakes with rich chocolate taste combined with whipped cream. I followed the recipe from here. It came out really well

Eggless Black fores cake

For the cake:
All purpose flour: 2 cups
Condensed milk: 14 oz can
Butter: 1/2 cup
Baking powder: 1 tsp
Baking soda: 1 tsp
Cocoa powder: 4 tablespoon
Coke: 3/4 cup
Vanilla extract: 1 tsp

For Filling and topping
Heavy whipping cream: 1 pint
Granulated white sugar: 3 tablespoons
Vanila extract: 1/2 tsp
Chocolate bar: 4 oz
Cherries: as required

For Syrup
Water: 1/2 cup
Sugar: 1/2 cup


  1. Melt the butter and add condensed milk to it and beat well
  2. Sift all the dry ingredients together (all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda)
  3. Mix the dry ingredients with butter and condensed milk along with coke
  4. Pour into a greased 8inch deep cake tin
  5. Bake for 40 - 45 min at 300F (150C)
  6. Cool the cake completely
  7. Prepare the sugar syrup by heating water and sugar together until the sugar me
  8. Take the heavy whipping cream in a bowl. Add sugar and vanilla and beat until soft peak forms.
  9. Shave the chocolate bar and keep it ready.

    Assembling the cake
  1. Cut the cake into 3 horizontal layers
  2. Sprinkle 3-4 tablespoons of sugar syrup
  3. Now spread some whipped cream on top of the cake.
  4. Add the chopped cherries on top.
  5. Repeat the same with other layers.
  6. Cover the cake with whipped cream on all the sides
  7. Decorate the top and sides with chocolate shavings and cherries
  8. Refrigerate until use
